A limited-edition experimental release from the highlands of Gakenke — bold, unusual, and brewed with purpose. Every cup supports breast cancer prevention in Rwanda.

Some coffees play it safe. This one doesn't.

Cat Out The Bag is our experimental series — reserved for coffees that push boundaries and deserve to be talked about. This release from Rwanda's Gakenke district is one of those coffees.

Produced by Emmanuel Rusatira at the Muzo Washing Station and sourced through Batho Coffee, these cherries were meticulously hand-sorted for ripeness before undergoing a 300+ hour anaerobic fermentation. The result is then outdoor mountain-dried for a vibrant, layered flavour that you won't find in your average cup. Unusual, wild, and unforgettable.

This is a 250g limited edition — once it's gone, it's gone.

And beyond the flavour, there's something bigger here: every bag sold directly supports breast cancer prevention in Rwanda. Buying this coffee isn't just a treat for yourself — it's a meaningful contribution to women's health in the very community that grew it.
